A new beautiful ad for Mon Guerlain – can’t wait to get to see more ads and commercials from this campaign!
Such a beautiful commercial with our beautiful Angelina! I’ve to say that for someone like me who isn’t too interested in beauty commercials, this one spoke more to me than they normally do.
“This new accord invites us to move beyond the divide and ambiguity of masculine and feminine, because it works to reconcile genres” – Delphine Jelk, co-creator of Mon Guerlain
Luxury French beauty house Guerlain has launched Mon Guerlain, a major new feminine fragrance, with actress and film director Angelina Jolie as the face.
The Moodie Davitt Report was the sole travel retail media present at the top-secret launch event held at Guerlain’s Orphin factory in January.
Mon Guerlain, available in 15ml (travel retail-exclusive), 30ml, 50ml and 100ml, will be launched worldwide (including travel retail) on 1 March.
Speaking at the launch event, Guerlain President & CEO Laurent Boillot underlined the house’s global ambitions for the fragrance. He said that the company has an international vision for the launch and is targeting “full expansion of the globe”. Without divulging numbers, Boillot revealed that Guerlain had “never invested so much in a fragrance launch”.
“We are going to speak to so many consumers in the world who don’t even know who we are,” said Boillot.
Mon Guerlain, referred to as code name ‘G17’ during development, is said to represent a portrait of women today and “accomplished femininity”. The perfume is described by Guerlain as “an invisible tattoo on skin”.
New project for Angelina it seems, will be interesting to get more details about the series so we get to know more about it.
Shooting for the trailer of a new Turkish series called “Hayat Köprüsü” (Bridge of Life), which will feature international stars like actress Angelina Jolie and football player Cristiano Ronaldo, wrapped up in Turkey’s southern Gaziantep province.
The series is planned to last for three seasons, and will tell the story of a Syrian family seeking refuge in Turkey, after fleeing their war-torn country.
Director Eyüp Dirlik said that the project was launched with the slogan “Either you stay there and die, or you come here and live”. Dirlik also gave information about the casting, stating that international celebrities would visit Turkey’s Gaziantep to support the project.
The director announced that his crew was in contact with some international relief agencies, adding that Ronaldo and Jolie were among the big celebrities who wanted to contribute to the project.
The new series is expected to become an international project after the trailer reaches wide audiences and particularly considering the production’s existing contacts with countries across the Middle East.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin said that the series’ plot was gripping, as it would include love, drama, family ties and the struggle for life.
Leading actress Perihan Savaş announced that the actual filming of the series would start this March in Gaziantep.
Expressing her excitement about the new project, Savaş stated that the series could also be seen as a lesson for humanity, telling the lives of Syrian refugees in Gaziantep and the city’s hospitality.

Guerlain wrote on their Instagram page last week:
Guerlain is happy with the new partnership, last week, the beauty brand’s Instagram has published the new photo. On this black and white snap, we can see the silhouette of Angelina, other details of new beauty project Mon Guerlain by Guerlain is keeping under wraps.
Apparently the famous and very talented director will work with Angelina in the upcoming commercial for ‘Guerlain’. Something to look forward to!
So, it’s not that surprising that Terrence Malick, the brilliant filmmaker behind Badlands, The Thin Red Line, and The Tree of Life, is now working on a smaller scale as well. FilmStage reports that Malick has directed a commercial for Guerlain perfumes starring Angelina Jolie, and that the commercial will be released sometime in March.
Not much else is known about Jolie and Malick’s collaboration but just the fact that they will be meeting for the first time in this format makes the (presumably) short film something to get excited about.
