Elle Fanning talks about Angelina Jolie

A nice article with Elle Fanning talking about her admiration for Angelina and some insight on how she is on set!

Elle Fanning thinks Angelina Jolie is “amazing.”

The young star who recently finished work on Maleficent 2 tells People, “I was 14 when I did the first movie, now I’m 20.”

“I wasn’t as young now so Angelina and I got to relate on a different level now that I’m older,” Fanning says while at the L’Oréal Fashion Show during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday.

Their time together on the set saw the two stars bond.

“We actually got very close on the second one. Very close. She’s amazing!” the 20-year-old actress says. “She does a lot and is very inspiring to work with. To see how she handles the business and also she’s the producer so to see that side of things, to see her with her producer hat on, I learned a lot.”

When asked if the producer hat fit over Jolie’s iconic horns Fanning laughed.

“Oh yeah,” she says. “Definitely.”

The recordings of the film began last week and are being held at Pinewood Studios in the UK.

In addition, the official Disney Instagram also posted a photo officially confirming that the feature is already in production.

Angelina Jolie will return to the lead role playing Malificent herself and Elle Fanning will return playing the role of Princess Aurora. According to The Collider, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville will also return to star as their first film roles.

Also confirmed are Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Robert Lindsay and Harris Dickinson. The film will feature the direction of Joachim Ronning and the screenplay is by Jez Butterworth and Linda Woolverton.

Seems like the first official synopsis is released as well:

A fantasy adventure that takes place several years after the first film, through which the public discovered which events hardened the heart of Disney’s most famous villain and made him curse Princess Aurora. “Malevolent II” continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the future queen, forming new alliances and facing new opponents in the struggle to protect the Moors and the magical creatures that live there.

Harris Dickinson Joins “Maleficent” Sequel

More casting news for Maleficent 2!

Harris Dickinson, who will be seen in the upcoming YA adaptation The Darkest Minds, is joining Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent sequel.

Dickinson joins fellow franchise newcomers Michelle Pfeiffer and Ed Skrein. Elle Fanning is set to return for the follow-up to the 2014 Disney hit that grossed $758 million at the global box office.

Plot details are being kept locked away in a tower, and it is currently unclear if the sequel will pick up where the original left off. Dickinson will be playing the prince in the new pic, replacing Brenton Thwaites, who played the role in the original.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales co-director Joachim Ronning will helm the feature that centers on the Sleeping Beauty antagonist. Joe Roth will produce the film, with Jez Butterworth and Linda Woolverton working on the screenplay.

Dickinson, who currently stars on FX’s John Paul Getty series Trust, is repped by Gersh, Luber Roklin and Bloom Hergott.
