First “Come Away” movie poster

The first poster has been released for Come Away and you can view in the gallery! The movie is set for release in 2020 and the wait will be long!

One of the companies that is working on the production of the movie Come Away, which will star Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo, has released a poster for the film.

In the poster, we can see the image of two children, Peter and Alice, running through the forest. The fantastic drama imagines a scenario in which Peter and Alice are brothers, a backdrop to their famous stories. When the eldest of the family dies early in a tragic accident, the couple of young protagonists – long before they are the stars of two of the most famous fables in history – are forced to protect their parents (Jolie and Oyelowo) from the despair of mourning. The burden of the task will present a crossroads: either the two brothers choose the reality they know in their home; or enter the world of imagination – which begins to create the perfect setting for your future journeys.

The film, which is currently filmed in London, before having its recordings changed to Los Angeles, has no official release date, although internal information will ensure that it will not hit theaters until 2020.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Caine Joins “Come Away”

Big admirer of Michael Caine and his career – this is for sure exciting news! Miss Mbatha-Raw is a lovely actress as well and worked together with Angelina in Maleficent 2 too.

Michael Caine, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and British actor David Gyasi have joined the cast of the drama “Come Away” starring Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo.

Brenda Chapman, director and co-writer of Pixar’s “Brave,” is helming from a script by Marissa Kate Goodhill. Fred Films and Yoruba Saxon Productions are the production companies. Producers are Leesa Kahn, James Spring, Andrea Keir, and Oyelowo through Yoruba Saxon. Michelle Manning will be an executive producer.

Producers plan to shoot “Come Away” initially in the U.K. and then in Los Angeles in the fall. Jolie is currently shooting “Maleficent 2” for Disney. Oyelowo will be seen next in the horror film “Only You” and in the sci-fi drama “Chaos Walking.”

Angelina Jolie & David Oyelowo To Star In Fantasy “Come Away”

A new project for Angelina and this time it’s a movie called Come Away which is meant to be a prequel the classic stories Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. We would love Angelina to take part in something like this! Angie will also be a producer and you can read more about the project here.

Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo are in talks to star in Come Away, a fantasy drama that will mark the live-action debut of Brenda Chapman, the Oscar-winning director and co-writer of the Pixar film Brave.

Marissa Kate Goodhill wrote the script, and UK-based Fred Films is producing with Oyelowo’s Yoruba Saxon Productions. Oyelowo, Leesa Kahn, James Spring and Andrea Keir are producing and Michelle Manning will be executive producer. The plan is for Come Away to shoot initially in the UK, with Jolie joining the shoot in Los Angeles in the fall. Jolie is next set to star in Maleficent 2 for Disney.

Come Away is imagined as a prequel to Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Before Alice went to Wonderland, and before Peter became Pan, they were brother and sister. When their eldest brother dies in a tragic accident, they each seek to save their parents (Jolie & Oyelowo) from their downward spirals of despair until finally they are forced to choose between home and imagination. This sets the stage for their iconic journeys into Wonderland and Neverland.

“Angelina and David are going to bring a beautiful chemistry and depth to this magical story, giving audiences a wonderful step outside the expected,” Chapman said.

Said screenwriter Goodhill: “Brenda is a singular storyteller. Her decades of experience in creating rich fantasy worlds populated by complex characters make her a dream director for this project, which explores how fantasy functions as a way to cope with reality. Her thoughtful approach to filmmaking and indomitable talent make her the perfect person to bring this story to life.”

The film is co-represented by UTA and Endeavor Content.

Jolie is repped by UTA and Sloane Offer; Oyelowo is repped by Hamilton Hoddell, Inphenate and CAA; Chapman is repped by WME; and Goodhill is repped by Jamie Coghill at Surpin & Mayersohn.
